A domestic dispute turned violent in late October ended with the arrest of a Santa Maria man
November 6.

According to Santa Maria Police  19-year-old Anthony Jacob Amador
became a wanted man pursuant to an October 22 incident in which he allegedly “tried to kill a
victim during a domestic-violence assault.”

Investigators also believe a firearm may have been involved. Following the initial incident,

“Amador fled and had not been located despite ongoing efforts by officers.”

For the next 16 days and nights, officers continued to look for Amador while “tracking tips and
monitoring locations” connected to him.

Their break came on the night of November 6, when
police noticed activity at a residence where they believed he might be hiding.

Once surveillance of the residence was established, officers moved in at about 10:30 p.m. and took Amador into
custody “without incident.”

Amador was transported to the Santa Barbara County Northern Branch Jail and booked on
suspicion of attempted murder with his bail set at $1million.
