Citizen Tips Lead to DUI Arrest of Reckless Semi-Truck Driver in Visalia
VISALIA, CA — November 1st 2025 — Officers with the Visalia division of the California Highway Patrol (CHP) recently arrested a semi-truck driver for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) following reports from community members regarding reckless driving behavior.

Alert citizens contacted authorities to report the semi-truck driver, which allowed California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers to locate and intercede with the vehicle. After stopping the semi-truck, officers conducted an investigation and subsequently placed the driver under arrest.
The driver faces charges for DUI as well as open container violations. Officers discovered alcohol inside the cab of the truck during the stop, a detail which contributed to the charges filed against the driver.
The CHP Visalia office acknowledged the importance of the community’s assistance in the incident. Authorities credited the vigilance of the citizens for helping to maintain safety on the roadways. The department encourages the public to continue reporting dangerous driving behavior by calling 9-1-1.
