FAIRFIELD, CA — October 17th 2025 — “Today at 12:03 pm, a Fairfield police officer conducted a traffic stop in the 1600 block of Travis Boulevard. When a cover unit arrived, the officers attempted to detain the driver. The driver, however, resisted the officers, struck an occupied patrol car with his vehicle, and fled westbound on Travis Boulevard at a high rate of speed, causing officers to lose sight of it.
The vehicle was subsequently involved in a non-injury hit-and-run collision at Travis Boulevard and Solano Mall, another non-injury hit-and-run collision at Travis Boulevard at I80, and an injury hit-and-run collision at Travis Boulevard and Oliver Road.
The driver rolled his vehicle and fled on foot to a nearby business on Oliver Road. A vigilant officer not assigned to the initial incident saw the suspect and directed other officers to the suspect’s location as he attempted to hide inside a local business.
The suspect, identified as Aaron Cutchon of Fairfield, was taken into custody without further incident. He was subsequently booked into County Jail and charged with assault with a deadly weapon on a police officer, felony resisting arrest, felony evading, felony driving under the influence of drugs, felony hit and run, and giving false identification.”
