Canoga Park Man Arrested: Suspected of Selling Drugs to Minors
– By F. Scott Faulkner
THOUSAND OAKS, CA — September 27, 2025 — A Canoga Park man is behind bars after detectives determined he was selling narcotics in to
teenagers in the City of Thousand Oaks.
According to Ventura County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Det. Jonathan San Jose, “the
investigation began in July,” when Thousand Oaks’ Directed Enforcement Unit (DEU) zeroed in
on 23-year-old Arcenio Zuniga-Moncada.
Detectives from DEU, backed by the East County
Sexual Assault Unit and the Ventura County Narcotics Street Team, gathered evidence
suggesting Zuniga-Moncada “was supplying controlled substances to local residents and
minors.”
Two months later, on Sept. 24, detectives moved in, made contact with Zuniga-Moncada, and
he was taken into custody without incident. Detectives at the scene recovered narcotics
“packaged for sale along with additional evidence” pointing to drug dealing.
Zuniga-Moncada was booked into the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility on multiple
felony counts, including selling marijuana to a minor (HS 11361) and possession of controlled
substances for sale (HS 11378).
He remains in custody at the Ventura County Main Jail. His bail has been set at $65,000.
