Paradise Man Arrested for Alleged Armed Robbery in Chico
CHICO, CA — “On September 12, 2025, at approximately 1659 hours, the Butte County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) received a 911 call reporting an armed robbery at a business located on Entler Avenue, Chico. According to the victim, a male subject entered the business, brandished a firearm, and stole cash and other items before fleeing in a vehicle. Deputies from the Butte County Sheriff’s Office responded promptly and began searching for the suspect. With the assistance of a witness, deputies tracked the suspect, who had jumped a fence and fled through backyards. The suspect was ultimately located hiding in an unoccupied metal trailer/Conex box structure and was detained without incident.
The suspect was identified as 42-year-old Adam Peterson, of Paradise. Peterson was arrested and booked into the Butte County Jail for violations of 211 PC (robbery), 12022.5(a) PC (use of a firearm in commission of a felony), and 594(b)(1) PC (felony vandalism). Butte County Sheriff’s Office K9 Chico assisted in the search and apprehension, aiding in locating critical evidence. Additionally, Department of Fish and Wildlife K9 Maverick assisted in the search for evidence and was instrumental in locating the stolen money.”
