Man on Probation Arrested for Alleged Methamphetamine Sales in Arcata

ARCATA, CA — Deputies with the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 71-year-old Arcata man following a probation search earlier this week.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the search took place at about 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 3, at a residence on the 1600 block of Hyland Street.

Deputies arrested the resident, identified as David Eugene Flocchini, who is reportedly on formal felony probation in Humboldt County for operating or maintaining a drug house.

During the search, deputies reportedly seized about 238 grams of methamphetamine, along with a digital scale and packaging material.

Flocchini was booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sale and violation of probation.
