Authorities Investigate Stabbing at Redwood City Caltrain Station
REDWOOD CITY, CA — “The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a stabbing that occurred Wednesday afternoon at Caltrain’s Redwood City Station. Preliminary information indicates this was an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to the community.
On Wednesday, August 27, 2025, shortly before 5 p.m., Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the Caltrain Redwood City Station on the report of a stabbing that occurred on the platform.
The victim, an adult male from San Mateo, sustained serious injuries and was transported to an area trauma center for treatment.
Sheriff’s deputies and detectives immediately began gathering evidence and working to identify the suspect. The Sheriff’s Office will share updates as additional information becomes available.”
