Fairfield Police Arrest Man Accused of Fleeing in Stolen Car
FAIRFIELD, CA — “On August 26 at around 7:30 pm, Fairfield Police Department was alerted to a FLOCK hit on a stolen car.
The vehicle was located on Dana Drive at Pennsylvania Avenue. When the driver spotted officers, he fled – driving the wrong way on Pennsylvania Avenue.
Due to safety concerns, a pursuit was not initiated at that time, however, detectives caught up with the vehicle at Pennsylvania and Tabor Avenue.
After a brief pursuit, the suspect vehicle yielded in the 1200 block of Dana Driver. The driver, identified as 29-year-old Jacob Aguilarprice, exited the car and was taken into custody without incident. He was transported to Solano County Jail for the car theft, evading peace officers, and possession of burglary tools.
FLOCK is a safety system employed by the city that utilized automated license plate recognition (ALPR) and other technology to help public safety officials apprehend those suspected of crimes.”
