Madera Police Reportedly Seize AK-47 from DUI Suspect During Traffic Stop
MADERA, CA — “On August 22, 2025, at approximately 9:00 p.m., a silver Ford Mustang was observed traveling at a high rate of speed, on eastbound SR-145, west of SR-41. The driver (26-year-old man from Madera) was arrested for DUI, after determining he was under the influence.
During a vehicle inventory, officers discovered an AK-47 rifle, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia. The driver was booked at the Madera County Jail for DUI, weapons, and drug charges.”
