PLACERVILLE, CA — “On August 13, 2025, at approximately 5 a.m., Placerville Police Department officers responded to a reported burglary in progress at The Market, located at 585 Main Street.
A witness reported seeing a broken window, items scattered inside the business, and a male subject present.
Officers arrived within minutes and contacted the suspect, later identified as 30-year-old Jeremy Fagan, still inside the premises.
Fagan was safely taken into custody without incident.
The investigation determined that Fagan caused damage to both the interior and exterior of the business, with estimated repair costs between $4,000 and $6,000.
Fagan was booked into the El Dorado County Jail for violations of 459 PC – Second Degree Burglary, and 594(b)(1) PC – Felony Vandalism. Bail was set at $45,000.
