Vallejo Police Arrest Motorist for Alleged Possession of Illegally Modified Gun; Juvenile Passenger Also Arrested
VALLEJO, CA — “On August 8, 2025, officers from the Vallejo Police Department’s Patrol Division conducted a traffic stop on a Chevrolet Cobalt near Benicia Road and Laurel Street for expired registration.
During the stop, officers learned that the adult male driver did not have a valid driver’s license. He was detained, and he and his juvenile passenger were removed from the vehicle.
An inventory search prior to towing revealed a loaded handgun with an obliterated serial number and a large-capacity magazine hidden under a seat. Officers also located an imitation firearm and a black mask inside the vehicle.
The driver, prohibited from possessing the firearm due to his age, was transported to Solano County Jail and booked on multiple charges. The juvenile’s parent was contacted before the juvenile was taken to juvenile hall in connection with the firearm.”
