Two Individuals with Lengthy Criminal Histories Allegedly Caught with $33K in Stolen Property

STOCKTON, CA — “On August 5th, San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office Swing Shift Deputies responded to Big E Storage off Newton Rd. in Stockton after a man was seen jumping the fence and cutting the lock off a storage unit. He then fled in a vehicle, which was quickly located and stopped by nearby deputies.

Inside were Brandon Ellingson and Johnathan King, both from Stockton — and both convicted criminals with extensive histories.

  • Ellingson is currently on county probation for possessing a stolen vehicle and had an active warrant out of San Francisco.
  • King is on active parole and had two outstanding warrants — one for negligent discharge of a firearm and another for burglary and conspiracy.

A search of the vehicle uncovered over $33,000 in stolen property, including cash, collectibles, tools, and the bolt cutters used in the break-in. All stolen items were returned to the rightful owner.

Despite being on probation and parole, these criminals continued to commit serious crimes. Both were booked for their warrants along with new charges including burglary, vandalism, conspiracy, and possession of burglary tools.”
