Felon Arrested with Ammunition and Narcotics During Park Enforcement Operation in Red Bluff

LOCATION: Dog Island Park 1360 Main Street
SUSPECT: Robert Lonsberry
SUMMARY:
On Monday, July 28, 2025, at approximately 10:00 PM, officers from the Red Bluff Police Department conducted directed enforcement of the city’s public parks to include Dog Island Park, located at 1360 Main Street in the City of Red Bluff. At this time, Officers observed an occupied vehicle in the closed park. Upon investigating, officers contacted and identified Robert Lonsberry in the driver’s seat. Narcotics were observed in plain view inside the vehicle. Lonsberry was detained in handcuffs as officers continued their investigation.
Upon searching the vehicle officers located methamphetamine, fentanyl, drug paraphernalia, burglary tools, and ammunition. A records check revealed Lonsberry has multiple convictions for past possession of “hard drugs” to include methamphetamine and fentanyl. Additionally, Lonsberry is prohibited from possessing or owning ammunition, despite his prohibited status, Lonsberry was in possession of 300 rounds of ammunition. (Photo Attached)
At the conclusion of the investigation, Lonsberry was placed under arrest and transported to the Tehama County Jail where he remains at the time this press release was authored.
The officers of the Red Bluff Police Department will continue directed enforcement of the city’s public parks to ensure they remain a safe place for individuals and families to visit.
