Woman Shot During Robbery Attempt in Culver City, Police Investigating
CULVER CITY, CA — The Culver City Police Department is reportedly looking for multiple suspects in connection with a robbery and attempted murder investigation.
According to a press release by Culver City PD, officers responded to a reported shooting just after 1 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 4, on the 4000 block of Sepulveda Blvd.
Officers located a female victim with a gunshot wound to her left forearm. They applied a tourniquet to control the bleeding before Culver City Fire Department personnel arrived. The victim was transported to a local hospital.
The victim’s injuries were determined not to be life-threatening, police said.
Investigators say the victim had been approached by several male suspects and one female suspect who tried to steal her e-bike. When she resisted, she was shot. The group then fled the scene.
Police issued a crime broadcast and searched the area but did not locate the suspects. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
