Suspect Arrested with Loaded Shotgun on Placerville’s Main St.
PLACERVILLE, CA — July 31st 2025 — “Today, at 7:32 AM, thanks to the sharp eye and quick action of a concerned citizen, a potentially dangerous situation was stopped before anyone was harmed.
A resident near a local Placerville business saw a person acting suspiciously on Main and Turner St. — and carrying what appeared to be a firearm.
They immediately called 911 and gave dispatchers a clear description of the suspect, including clothing and location.
Placerville Police Department officers responded within minutes and located the individual walking around the business with a loaded shotgun in hand. Officers safely apprehended the suspect without incident, and the weapon was recovered.
Jesse Wayne Parrish, 49 years old of Placerville was booked into the El Dorado County jail for assault with a firearm on a person – aggravated burglary, carry loaded firearm on/in person/vehicle, public place, and DUI (Alcohol) with a bail amount of $275,000.
