Loaded Gun, Meth and Illegal Weapons Seized During Granite Bay Traffic Stop
GRANITE BAY, CA — “On Friday, July 25, 2025, a Placer County Sheriff’s Office deputy conducted a traffic stop on a green Toyota sedan traveling along Sierra College Blvd in Granite Bay for a vehicle code violation.
The driver, identified as 53-year-old David Aragon, was flagged as a gang member out of Sacramento County along with prior violent felony convictions.
The passenger was on mandatory supervision probation out of Placer County for vehicle theft.
Deputies conducted a probationary search of the vehicle and discovered metal brass knuckles, a baton, several knives, a taser, and a loaded, unregistered handgun.
They also located approximately 28 grams of methamphetamine.
Aragon was arrested and booked into jail on multiple charges, including:
• Felon in possession of a loaded firearm with two prior violent felony convictions
• Felon in possession of ammunition
• Felon in possession of brass knuckles
• Felon in possession of a baton
• Carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle
• Possession of a loaded firearm while in possession of narcotics
• Possession of an unregistered firearm”
