Police Respond to Firearm Report at Local Motel; One Arrested on Out-of-County Warrant
EL CENTRO, CA –– On the morning of July 22, 2025, dayshift officers responded to a report of individuals who were possibly armed with firearms near a vehicle parked at a local motel. Officers approached the scene with caution and conducted a safety-focused response.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with multiple individuals at the location. Each person was safely detained during the course of the investigation. A search of the area did not result in the discovery of any firearms.
During the investigation, officers identified one individual with an outstanding warrant from another county. That individual was arrested without incident. The warrant details were confirmed, and the person was taken into custody for the out-of-county offense.
The department emphasized that all reports involving potential firearms are treated with care and seriousness.
