THOUSAND OAKS, CA — June 27, 2025 – A violent late-night street assault that sent one man to the hospital with multiple stab wounds has
led to the arrest of four individuals, including a teenage suspect.
Investigators say it was a gang-related attack involving what Ventura County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Det. Matt
James described as “a sharp-edged weapon.”
Just before midnight on May 22, Ventura County sheriff deputies responded to reports of an assault with a
deadly weapon in a residential area of Thousand Oaks.
When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from multiple stab wounds.
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital, underwent emergency surgery, and remained hospitalized “for approximately a week” before being released.
Working the case were detectives from the VCSD East County Investigations Bureau, Special
Enforcement Unit, and Major Crimes Division. Within days, they had identified “multiple
individuals believed to be involved in the attack.”
On June 20 detectives “contacted and arrested” 19-year-old Henry Tronconi of Newbury
Park.
Four days later, on June 24, brothers Joshua Galvez, 23, of Thousand Oaks, and Joanky
Galvez, 18, of Newbury Park, were contacted at their Simi Valley residence and taken into
custody.
That following day, June 25, 2025, the final suspect in the gang violence, a 17-year-old
male from Thousand Oaks, was apprehended and taken into custody.
According to James, three of the four suspects are “documented members of a local criminal
street gang.” All four face charges of assault with a deadly weapon, conspiracy, and street
terrorism.
Tronconi and the Galvez brothers were booked into the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention
Facility, where they remain held on $250,000 bail. The juvenile was booked into the Ventura
County Juvenile Justice Center, with court proceedings pending.
