DALY CITY, CA — A Daly City woman was arrested for the alleged possession of a ghost gun and ammunition the day after leaving a traffic stop in which her acquaintance had been arrested, according to police.
In the early morning hours of Wednesday, June 11, officers contacted an occupied vehicle near the intersection of Alpine Avenue and Southgate Avenue in Daly City, police said in a press release.
The driver, identified as a 44-year-old San Francisco resident, was arrested on various drug-related charges.
During the vehicle check, identified as a 37-year-old Daly City woman, believed to be on searchable probation, reportedly exited the car and walked away.
The following evening, during their next shift, officers conducted a residential probation search at the woman’s residence.
During the search, officers allegedly located an unregistered AR-style rifle, a suppressor, high-capacity magazines containing live ammunition, and controlled substances.
The woman was arrested and booked on several firearm- and drug-related charges, police said.
