Wanted Pioneer Woman Arrested, Allegedly Fled from Calaveras County Deputies in Stolen Car

SAN ANDREAS, CA — A Pioneer woman wanted on a felony warrant was arrested after allegedly fleeing from deputies in a stolen vehicle in Calaveras County.

The ordeal began on the afternoon of June 24, when a deputy parked near the intersection of Mountain Ranch and Rocky roads saw a motorist committing vehicle code violations before coming to an abrupt stop, the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release.

The deputy tried to pull the vehicle over, but the driver reportedly put the vehicle in reverse and backed away.

After about a mile, the driver tried to use a driveway to turn around but hit a tree and became stuck, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The driver exited the vehicle through a side window and initially fled on foot, but was apprehended after about 70 yards.

The Sheriff’s Office identified the individual as Cena Sue Flannery, 34, of Pioneer.

Flannery was reportedly found to have a felony arrest warrant out of Amador County. Authorities also discovered that the vehicle she was driving had been reported stolen out of Amador County just five days prior, on June 19.

Flannery was taken into custody and ultimately booked at the Calaveras County jail. She faces three felony and three misdemeanor charges, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
