Kings County Man Accused of Stabbing Stepfather

HANFORD, CA — A Kings County man has been arrested after allegedly stabbing his stepfather in the face and fleeing the scene, evading authorities for several hours.

According to a press release by the Kings County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a reported stabbing at approximately 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, on the 8000 block of Grangeville Boulevard.

Upon arrival, deputies located an adult male victim, reportedly the suspect’s stepfather, who had sustained a stab wound to the face. The victim received first aid at the scene while awaiting emergency services and was then transported to an area hospital.

Authorities said his injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Investigators identified the primary suspect in the attack as 26-year-old Isac Alexander Palacios, who is alleged to have stabbed his stepfather and then fled the scene.

Deputies conducted a search involving ground units, the Air Support Unit, and K-9 Deputy Blue.

Palacios was tracked for about three miles through agricultural fields and is believed to have been picked up by a vehicle near the intersection of 9¼ Avenue and Maxwell Drive.

However, as of the morning of Wednesday, June 25, Palacios had been located and taken into custody without incident.
