Yuba County Authorities Dismantle Illegal Cannabis Cultivation Operation
YUBA COUNTY, CA — “The Marijuana Enforcement Team of Yuba County (METYU), assisted by the regional SWAT team and the California Department of Fish & Wildlife, executed multiple search warrants last week in the Brownsville and Dobbins areas. While the primary focus was finding illegal marijuana cultivation, investigators quickly uncovered additional criminal activity, including the possession of an illegal firearm, illegal fumigant pesticides, and multiple water code violations.
At the end of the warrant operations, a total of 6,961 plants were eradicated. Investigators arrested Noe Calleja (age 34) near Pine Ridge Drive in Brownsville, and Zhiming Huang (age 61) near Sun Forest Court in Dobbins. Both men were charged with felony cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sales, and resisting arrest.”
