Porterville Man Arrested After Visalia Police Intercept 20 Pounds of Meth in Suspicious Package

VISALIA, CA  —  “In May 2025, the Visalia Police Department’s Narcotics Unit intercepted a suspicious package at the UPS processing center in Visalia. Upon inspection, the package was found to contain 20 pounds of methamphetamine. Through investigation, detectives identified the sender as 26-year-old Ricardo Lazarin-Valencia of Porterville.

On June 4, 2025, members of the Visalia PD Narcotics Unit, with assistance from the Special Enforcement Unit and the Porterville Police Department, served a search warrant at Lazarin- Valencia’s residence in Porterville. Multiple storage units tied to the investigation were also searched.

Lazarin-Valencia was arrested without incident and booked for charges related to the distribution of narcotics.”
