Vallejo Police, U.S. Marshals Locate and Arrest Homicide Suspect

VALLEJO, CA — “On May 26, 2025, at approximately 5:30 P.M., the Vallejo Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to a report of a shooting in the area of Sacramento Street and Daniels Avenue.
Upon arrival, patrol officers located three adult males, all suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The officers provided the victims with medical aid until medical personnel arrived. When medical personnel arrived, they pronounced two of the male victims deceased at the scene.
Emergency medical services transported the third male victim to a local hospital for a life-threatening injury.
Solano County Sheriff’s Office, Napa Police Department, and California Highway Patrol Air Unit assisted with creating a perimeter and protecting the scene.
The Vallejo Police Department Detective Division responded and took over the investigation. The investigation identified Eddie Charles Sample, a 45-year-old Vallejo resident, as the suspect in this double homicide.
On May 30, 2025, the Vallejo Police Department Detective Division obtained an arrest warrant for Eddie Sample and requested assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service in locating him due to public safety concerns.
On June 4, 2025, the U.S. Marshals Service conducted a successful operation on the unit block of Cravath Street in San Francisco, California. As a result of the operation, Sample was apprehended without incident.
Following his arrest, Sample was subsequently booked into the Solano County Jail for murder.
