ANTIOCH, CA — Raymond L. Greene, 30, of Antioch, remains in custody ineligible for release on bond on
suspicion of attempted murder.
Antioch police detectives placed Greene under arrest on June 3 at an undisclosed residence in Antioch.
Greene allegedly shot a 31-year-old woman on May 20 at approximately 8:51 p.m. Responding
Antioch officers found the victim on the 3900 block of Delta Fair Boulevard in Antioch.
The unidentified woman sustained at least one gunshot wound. Officers and paramedics provided first
aid at the scene before she was transported to a hospital.
“The victim remains in critical condition,” Antioch police said in a prepared statement.
Officers canvassed the surrounding area the day the victim was shot, but were unable to locate any
suspect. Investigators subsequently identified Greene as the shooting suspect.
Antioch detectives apprehended Greene, with help from U.S. Marshals. The residence where Greene
was staying was searched, and evidence linking him to the shooting was recovered.
Charges are being reviewed pending further investigation. Meanwhile, Greene remains behind bars at
the Martinez Detention Facility.
Greene is subject to a parole hold, which supersedes bond set at $1 million for release from custody.
Earlier this year, San Pablo police arrested Greene in February for domestic violence.
The shooting incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information can contact Antioch police
detective Arturo Becerra at 925-779-6937, or email abecerra@antiochca.gov.
