CAMARILLO, CA  – May 10, 2025

A series of storage unit break-ins and a stolen trailer led investigators on a month-long search that
ended with two arrests.

According to Ventura County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Detective Schaum Song, between
April 1 and April 26 2025, “multiple tenants at StorQuest Self Storage in Camarillo reported
their units burglarized and a utility trailer taken from the secured lot.”

Deputies with the Camarillo Investigations Bureau launched an immediate investigation, accessing video
surveillance footage and gathering witness accounts to track down those responsible.

Detectives identified 46-year-old Erica Hull of Thousand Palms and 43-year-old Oscar
Rodriguez of Coachella as the prime suspects.

“Hull had been renting a unit at the same facility,”
and a search warrant executed on April 4th revealed it was packed with stolen goods tied to the
burglaries.

Further investigation, assisted by Ventura Police, led officers to a Ventura apartment where the
pair were reportedly staying.

On May 7, detectives moved in, made contact with Hull and Rodriguez and summarily took them into custody.

A follow-up search of the apartment turned up additional stolen property linked to victims from
the Camarillo storage break-ins, as well as “illegal narcotics.”

Both men were transported to Ventura County Jail, where Hull was booked on charges of
conspiracy, burglary, and auto theft.

Rodriguez was booked on five outstanding felony warrants, as well as charges of conspiracy and auto theft.
