Redding Police: Outlaw Motorcycle Gang Member Arrested for Weapons and Narcotics Violations
REDDING, CA — “Officers from the Bike Team and Neighborhood Police Unit have successfully concluded an investigation leading to the arrest of 34-year-old William Brooke, a resident of Redding. Brooke, identified as an Outlaw Motorcycle Gang member, has a history of legal issues, including previous arrests for evading police, weapons violations, and gang-related charges. He is currently on probation for prior weapons offenses.
On May 8, officers made contact with Brooke and conducted a probation search at his residence located in the 5600 block of Mountain View Drive. During the search, authorities discovered a significant amount of Outlaw Motorcycle Gang memorabilia, alongside a substantial gun safe in Brooke’s bedroom.
Upon forcibly opening the safe, officers found four handguns, a non California Compliant AR-15 assault rifle with a 45-round magazine, several high-capacity magazines, ammunition, suspected cocaine, and additional gang-related items. Notably, one handgun had an altered serial number, and the AR-15 was identified as a ghost gun, lacking a traceable serial number.
William Brooke was arrested on multiple charges, including possession of an assault weapon, alteration of a firearm’s serial number, possession of high-capacity magazines, possession of a controlled substance, gang enhancements, and violation of probation terms. He was booked into the Shasta County Jail.”
