FRESNO, CA — A Fresno police officer has been arrested for alleged misdemeanor sexual battery against two victims, according to authorities.
In a press release, the Fresno Police Department identified the arrested officer as Obioma Agbowo.
Agbowo has been with the department for 7 years, police said.
Investigators say the alleged crimes happened in March of this year while Agbowo was off duty.
Agbowo has reportedly been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an Internal Affairs investigation.
Because the investigation is still active, police are not releasing additional details.
