SALTON CITY, CA — A Salton City resident has been arrested following an investigation into a residential burglary.
On Sunday, April 27, 2025, at approximately 1:00 p.m., Imperial County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a residential burglary on the 2400 block of Sea Shore Road in Salton City.
Upon arrival, deputies obtained surveillance footage from the victim, which reportedly showed the suspect breaking into the residence. The victim also provided deputies with a statement regarding the incident. Deputies identified the suspect in the video as 40-year-old Richard Sager, a resident of Salton City.
Deputies located Sager and detained him. Sager denied any involvement in the burglary. The Imperial County Sheriff’s Office Scientific Investigations Unit was called to the scene to document the crime scenes and Sager’s vehicle as evidence for future prosecution.
Richard Sager was arrested and booked into the Imperial County Jail on felony charges of burglary, grand theft, and vandalism. His bail was set at $350,000.
