Two Arrested on Suspicion of Homicide After Burned Body Discovered in Vacaville
VACAVILLE, CA — “On the early morning of April 13, 2025, deputies from the Solano County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a deceased individual found burned on Cherry Glen Road in Vacaville. Upon arrival, deputies confirmed the presence of a body with gunshot wounds, and a preliminary investigation determined that the case was a homicide.
The Solano County Sheriff’s Office Investigation Unit took over the case and worked diligently to identify both the victim and the suspects involved.
Through thorough evidence collection, witness interviews, and forensic analysis, detectives identified the victim as Adam Muela, out of Bay Point, and two individuals believed to be responsible for the crime. On April 22, 2025, Clifton Summerise, a 52-year-old man from Vallejo, and Maria DeLeon, a 42-year-old woman also from Vallejo, both were arrested without incident and booked into the Solano County Jail on numerous charges, to include murder and robbery.
The motive and circumstances surrounding the homicide are still under active investigation.
