South County Deputies Seize Narcotics During Patrol Near Calexico Railroad Tracks
CALEXICO, CA — “On Sunday, March 30, 2025, at approximately 3:00 PM, South County patrol deputies conducted a proactive patrol check on the outskirts of Calexico, specifically near Sheridan Street and George Avenue. This effort targeted the Federal Pacific railroad tracks area, which has been associated with several transient encampments that posed potential hazards.
During the patrol check, deputies made contact with four individuals. Following an in-field investigation was conducted, during which approximately 33 suspected Fentanyl pills, approximately 0.5 grams of methamphetamine, and various drug paraphernalia was found to be in possession of one of the individuals. The subject was subsequently taken into custody and booked into the Imperial County Jail (ICJ) without any further incident.
