Rancho Cucamonga Detectives Arrest Man for Contacting Minor for Lewd Purpose
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA —

LOCATION: City of Rancho Cucamonga
SUSPECT(S): Misael Miranda Chavez, 46-year-old male, resident of Eastvale
SUMMARY:
On Thursday, April 17, 2025, the Rancho Cucamonga Sheriff’s Station’s Detective Bureau conducted an undercover chat operation.
During the operation, 46-year-old Misael Miranda Chavez responded to a post made by an undercover deputy on the “KIK” social media application. Chavez initiated a conversation with the deputy, who acted as the persona of a 13-year-old boy. Chavez arranged continued communication with the undercover persona outside the original chat platform and used the username “chinoCa21.”
During the communication, Chavez agreed to meet with the undercover persona to engage in sexual acts. At the conclusion of the investigation, Chavez was arrested and booked at the West Valley Detention Center for violation of PC 288.3(a). Chavez was later released from custody on $100,000.00 bail.
Detectives believe there may be additional victims and are releasing Chavez’s photograph and username.
