SACRAMENTO, CA  —  “The Sacramento Valley Hi-Tech Crimes Task Force was made aware of a Google account uploading videos and images of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) (commonly referred to as Child Pornography) from a location in Sacramento County. Google made a Cybertip referral to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and specifically advised some of the content being uploaded appeared to be newly created or produced CSAM. Detectives identified the account holder as 39-year-old Adam Fitzgerald Williams. Additional evidence revealed Williams had recorded himself performing various acts of sexual abuse with multiple female children. The children ranged in age from infant to pubescent over a span of numerous years throughout California and Nevada.

On March 28, 2025, Williams was taken into custody at his residence. Williams was in possession of thousands of CSAM images involving toddlers, prepubescent children, and pubescent children. Williams also possessed thousands of images of computer-generated/Artificial Intelligence (AI) CSAM which showcased infants, toddlers, and prepubescent children. Detectives learned of at least 10 of Williams’ victims, but fear there are more.

Williams is currently in custody at the Sacramento County Main Jail and is currently being held on $1,000,000.00 bail for numerous charges including:
• PC 288(a): Lewd and lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14
• PC 288(c)(1): Lewd and lascivious acts with a child 14 or 15 years old while
being at least 10 years older
• PC 311.11(a)(1): Possession of child pornography
• PC 311.11(c)(1): Possession in excess of 600 images of child pornography
• PC 311.4(c):Production of child pornography
• PC 311.4(d):Production of child pornography for commercial purpose

Williams is believed to have had access to numerous children throughout California and Nevada, and Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in locating any possible victims that Williams may have contacted. If you have any relevant information, please contact the Sheriff’s Office at (916) 874-5115 or Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers at (916) 443-HELP (4357), 1-800-AA-CRIME, or **TIPS. Use the “P3 TIPS” app or online at www.sacvalleycrimestoppers.com. Tip information may also be left anonymously at www.sacsheriff.com or by calling (916) 874-TIPS (8477).

This investigation was a combined effort by the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, Alameda County Sheriff’s Office, Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff, Walnut Creek Police Department, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), and the ICAC units of the Sacramento Valley Hi-Tech Crimes Task Force and the Nevada Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

The ICAC unit of the Sacramento Valley Hi-Tech Crimes Task Force investigates crimes relating to the sexual exploitation of children throughout Northern California. The ICAC unit also wanted to express their gratitude and appreciation for the proactive efforts of Google’s Safety Team, which worked closely with the Sacramento Valley Hi-Tech Crimes Task Force. Google collaborates with NCMEC to combat online CSAM by using technology to detect, remove, and report CSAM and providing NCMEC with tools to prioritize reports and support law enforcement.”
