Suspect in Carmel Valley Attempted Murder Case Surrenders to Authorities

“PRESS RELEASE – Suspect Sought for Attempted Murder in Del Mesa Community of Carmel Valley Surrenders to Monterey County Sheriff’s Deputies –

William Lawrence Darpinian, who was being sought for attempted murder after he was reported to have stabbed his mother, has surrendered to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office.

At about 4:00 AM on January 26th, 2025, Darpinian walked up to the security guard station of the Del Mesa Community off of Carmel Valley Road and asked the security guard to contact Monterey County Sheriff’s Deputies so that he could turn himself in. Monterey County Sheriff’s Deputies were notified and arrived within minutes and were able to take Darpinian into custody without incident.

William Lawrence Darpinian was booked into the Monterey County Jail for attempted murder. His bail has been set at $1,000,000.00.”
