SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, Calif. — Stockton police have reportedly arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting in June of 2019.
According to a press release by the Stockton Police Department, officers had responded just after noon on June 26, 2019, to a report of a shooting on the 1900 block of Comstock Drive. Officers discovered a lone victim at the scene, a 22-year-old male.
The victim was transported to an area hospital and later passed away due to his injuries, police said.
On Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025 — nearly six years later — the Stockton PD SWAT unit served a search warrant in Lodi and arrested Rayniko Flores, 25, in connection with the murder.
Flores was booked at the San Joaquin County jail, police said.
The investigation is still active.
