Two Arrested in Connection with Condo Complex Burglary and Stolen Motorcycle Recovery

On Saturday morning, authorities discovered a reported stolen motorcycle concealed behind bushes outside the Shores condominiums. Subsequently, a burglary was reported within the same condo complex, resulting in an estimated loss of around $5,000. Surveillance footage captured a male and female leaving the vicinity of the stolen motorcycle and later observed outside the burglarized condo at approximately 4:30 a.m. that morning.

Later in the afternoon, an individual contacted the Communications Center regarding the recovered stolen motorcycle, admitting possession and use of the motorcycle before agreeing to meet with officers. However, the individual failed to appear for the scheduled meeting. Shortly thereafter, officers identified a person in the parking lot of the condo complex matching the description and attire of the individuals observed in the earlier surveillance footage. A subsequent search revealed stolen property from the burglary in the person’s possession.

Nathan Slack, born on April 26, 1995, was arrested and booked into the San Diego Central Jail on charges of possession of a stolen motorcycle (496(d) PC), possession of stolen property (496(a) PC), and burglary (459(a) PC).

Simultaneously, Brittany Cassell, born on June 17, 1981, was detained by officers outside the condo complex, also wearing clothing consistent with those seen in the surveillance footage. A search yielded approximately $1,500 worth of stolen property from the burglary. Cassell was arrested and booked into the Las Colinas Detention Reentry Facility on charges of possession of stolen property (496(a) PC) and burglary (459(a) PC).
