Fresno: Suspect Arrested in Fatal Shooting on East Bulldog Lane

“On March 14, 2024, at 10:54 p.m., officers from the Northeast Policing District responded to 1475 East Bulldog Lane for a report of a gunshot victim. Officers found 31-year-old Joel Rueda in the courtyard, suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers administered CPR until EMS arrived and pronounced him deceased on scene.

Through their investigation, the Fresno Police Department’s Homicide Unit identified 26-year-old Raymond Rodriguez as the homicide suspect. Detectives secured a warrant for Rodriguez’s arrest and on Friday, March 22, 2024, members of the Street Violence Tactical Team successfully apprehended Rodriguez in a residential area near Ferger Avenue and McKinley Avenue. At the time that he was taken into custody, Rodriguez was in possession of a loaded Glock handgun with an extended 30-round magazine.
