Kings County Juvenile Reportedly Caught Bringing Gun to Middle School

“On 01/10/2024, the Kings County Sheriff’s Office was informed by an anonymous source, regarding a juvenile student who was possibly in possession of a firearm at Parkview Middle School in Armona. During the course of the investigation, the juvenile student was contacted by deputies and found to be in possession of a firearm and ammunition.

The juvenile was taken into custody and booked into the Kings County Juvenile Center. The Kings County Sheriff’s Office would like to acknowledge the swift response from Parkview staff and the School Resource Deputy.

The incident is being investigated as an isolated incident and there was no direct threat to the school.”
