“Gang Suppression Unit (GSU) Detectives received intel that a 17-year-old Stick-up Starz gang associate was in possession of a Mac-10 style machine gun and AR-15 style rifle. GSU Detectives established surveillance at the juvenile’s residence and a search warrant was authored.
The juvenile and others were contacted during a vehicle stop and detained prior to the service of the search warrant. A loaded handgun was located under the seat of a 15-year-old juvenile during the vehicle stop. A search of the residence pursuant to the search warrant revealed a Mac-10 style machine gun and full-auto AR-15 style pistol were located in a bedroom believed to belong to the 17-year-old juvenile.
The two juveniles were arrested and transported to Juvenile Hall for various firearms-related charges.”
