“On December 24, 2023, at 7:05 PM, deputies from the Moreno Valley Station responded to a business in the 24900 block of Sunnymead Boulevard to investigate a robbery and stabbing. The investigation revealed that a female victim was confronted by an adult male suspect, who threatened her, took her purse and jewelry, stabbed her, and then fled the location on foot. The victim sustained moderate injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where she is expected to survive.

The suspect was not initially located by responding deputies. However, a canvass of the area was conducted and an adult male matching the suspect’s description was found at a nearby park. The male was still in possession of the victim’s property and was positively identified as Deondre Outley Jones, a 20-year-old resident of Moreno Valley. Outley Jones was arrested for robbery, attempted murder, and criminal threats and is being held at the Robert Presley Detention Center in lieu of $1,000,000 bail. If you have any information about this robbery or captured the incident on video, please contact Deputy Jennifer Arellano of the Moreno Valley Station by calling 951-486-6700.”
