Kern County Authorities Serve Warrants on Four Illegal Dispensaries; 10 Arrests Made

“On December 20, 2023, at approximately 8:00 p.m., the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, Kern County High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force (KC-HIDTA), along with Investigators from the Kern County District Attorney’s Office, executed search warrants on four (4) illegal marijuana dispensaries operating in the community of Rosamond. Wardensfrom the California Department of Fish and Wildlife/Cannabis Enforcement Program (CEP), detectives from California Department of Cannabis Control (DCC) and officers from the Kern County Probation Department also assisted in the execution of the search warrants and arrests of numeroussubjects found to be involved in operating the illegal marijuana dispensaries.

This investigation resulted in the closure of all four (4) marijuana dispensaries that were found to be in violation of County and State Health and Safety Codes. Investigators fromthe California Department of Tax and Fee

Administration (CDTFA) will be conducting follow up investigations on the below marijuana dispensaries regarding violations of the illicit sales of marijuana and various cannabis products.

The following subjects were arrested for the listed charges and booked into the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, Lerdo Justice Facility or Mojave jail.

Christopher Sosa (age 24) from Lancaster, arrested for maintaining a place for drug sales, and possession of marijuana for sales.

Antonio Jesus Hernandez (age 27) from Lancaster, arrested for maintaining a place for drug sales, possession of marijuana for sales, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of sales and for conspiracy to commit a crime.

Joseph Torres (age 38) from Reseda, arrested for maintaining a place for drug sales, possession of marijuana for sales, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of sales and for conspiracy to commit a crime.

Edio Noe Rivera Chinchilla, (age 23) from Lancaster, arrested for maintaining a place for drug sales, possession of marijuana for sales, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of sales, conspiracy to commit a crime, providing false identification to a peace officer and for several active domestic violence related arrest warrants out of Los Angeles County.

Pedro Torres, (age 47) from Lancaster, will have charges submitted to the Kern County District Attorney’s Office for violation of maintaining a place for drug sales, possession of marijuana for sales, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of sales and for conspiracy to commit a crime.

Erika Martinez, (age 24) from Palmdale, arrested for maintaining a place for drug sales, possession of marijuana for sales and for conspiracy to commit a crime.

Gregory Fannel, (age 41) from Lancaster, arrested for maintaining a place for drug sales, possession of marijuana for sales, conspiracy to commit a crime and for an active arrest warrant for spousal abuse and criminal threats.

Guadalupe Vieyra, (age 32) from Little Rock, arrested for maintaining a place for drug sales, possession of marijuana for sales and for conspiracy to commit a crime.

Samuel Small, (age 34) from Palmdale, arrested for maintaining a place for drug sales, possession of marijuana for sales and for conspiracy to commit a crime.

Tushaun Jones, (age 22) from Lancaster, arrested for maintaining a place for drug sales, possession of marijuana for sales and for conspiracy to commit a crime.”
