In a proactive operation, officers from the South Violent Crime Reduction team, stationed in the 2000 Block of 16th Street, observed a known individual on probation. The officers initiated a stop and contacted 22-year-old Davian Stanton, who was riding a bicycle. Stanton’s attempt to flee was thwarted as additional officers arrived on the scene to assist, leading to his apprehension.

During the subsequent investigation, officers discovered a loaded firearm and illegal narcotics, individually packaged—an indication typically associated with distribution. A follow-up probation search at Stanton’s residence unveiled a Polymer 80 pistol conversion kit, a black case containing approximately 11 individually packaged bindles of suspected fentanyl, and multiple rounds of live ammunition.

Stanton, now facing firearms and narcotics-related charges, was booked at the Sacramento County Main Jail.
