Red Bull may give you wings, but it certainly didn’t help these thieves get away!

On October 2 at approximately 12:50 p.m., our officers were dispatched to take a theft report at Target. The reporting party was able to tell officers that they saw the two suspects load approximately $500 worth of merchandise into a white vehicle and that the vehicle left the lot on Blue Ravine Rd.

Nearby officers spotted the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. After identifying the driver and passenger and discovering that the passenger was on probation, the officers conducted a vehicle search. During the search, officers located more than 60 cases of Red Bull and various other items that had been stolen from Target and from other stores, valued at more than $1500. Additionally, the officers located a small container of methamphetamine in the vehicle.

Rick Buonauro, 54 and Francisco Ocegueda, 30 were both arrested for charges related to organized retail theft, grand theft, and possession of a controlled substance and both were booked in Sacramento County Jail.
