Suspected Drug Dealer Arrested, Drugs with $1 Million Street Value Seized

LIVERMORE — Police arrested a suspected drug dealer and recovered illicit drugs with a street value exceeding $1 million. Christopher John-Paul Bellemare, 42, of South San Francisco, was subsequently booked into Alameda County Santa Rita Jail.

Officers pulled over his gray Jeep Liberty on August 28 at 2:30 a.m. The suspect stopped near where Greenville Road intersects with Altamont Pass and Northfront roads. His vehicle registration was out of date. Moreover, his driver’s license had been suspended.

Bellemare is a felon previously arrested for drug dealing, and therefore his vehicle was searched. Officers found a large quantity of illicit drugs in his possession. Contraband seized includes more than 2 grams of LSD, 14 grams of MDMA, and 36 grams of hallucinogenic psilocybin. Officers also recovered drug paraphernalia from him.

Bellemare was promptly arrested at 2:42 a.m. He was booked into county jail at 7:46 a.m. He was carrying more than $1,000 in cash when he was taken into custody. Multiple charges have been filed against him. His charges include possession and transportation of controlled substances for sale.

The same suspect was arrested on March 17 on suspicion of drug dealing. He was also arrested then for possession and transportation of controlled substances for sale. In addition, he was arrested then for assault with a deadly weapon likely to produce great bodily injury.
