PITTSBURG — Sean C. White was placed under arrest on the same day he allegedly embarked on a one-man crime spree. He faces 13 charges involving burglary, carjacking, making criminal threats, vandalism, and indecent exposure.

The 33-year-old suspect from Pittsburg purportedly committed crimes in Pleasant Hill, Walnut Creek, and nearby unincorporated areas. He was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility on August 9th, where he remains housed in lieu of $620,000 bond.

Walnut Creek police and Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded that day to a series of reported crimes though it was sheriff’s office deputies who arrested White. His next scheduled court date is August 25th.

White allegedly attempted three carjackings, before he was taken into custody. In one attempted carjacking, he faces an enhanced charge for allegedly using a hammer as a deadly weapon. He allegedly made criminal threats to hit the victim with the hammer.

He also faces charges for one actual carjacking and driving or taking a vehicle without consent. Plus, he faces two counts of first-degree burglary while the victim was present. He also faces charges for receiving stolen property, vandalism, among other offenses.

White is no stranger to law enforcement in Contra Costa County. White was arrested in March for possession of a narcotic controlled substance, grand theft, and petty theft. He also has a prior arrest on his record for possession of a narcotic controlled substance in 2017.
