Wanted Parolee Arrested in Connection with Alleged Series of Violent Crimes

“You may have seen a large police presence in the area of 950 Barnett Way yesterday. Our Special Investigations Unit (SIU) received information that 36-year-old Robert Jackson was a wanted parolee out of Fresno. Jackson is a known gang member who had recently committed several violent crimes in our city.

As a result, we surrounded the apartment he was located in due to his long extensive criminal history and ordered him to exit the apartment. Jackson attempted to flee the apartment and was quickly apprehended. Moments before his arrest he threw the gun he was carrying over a fence.

This incident could have ended much differently, and we are thankful that no officers were injured, and that Jackson was taken into custody safely.”
