“Monday (6/19/23) was a busy day for our Patrol Officers! They took 175 calls, including 7 theft calls. One of those was an Organized Retail Theft call that resulted in the arrest of three men wanted in a string of thefts in the area.

Just after 2pm, employees from Best Buy in Folsom called police to say that two men who had stolen items earlier in the day at a Best Buy in Roseville were in the Folsom store gathering items. Officers were sent immediately, but the suspects left the store and started driving away.

Officers searched for the suspect’s car, finding it as it fled the area on Highway 50. The vehicle yielded to officers but not before the occupants tossed some of the stolen property from the front seat to the back seat. Officers found there was a third man in the vehicle, and safely detained all three men. Officers determined the three had worked together to steal electronics from the Elk Grove, Roseville, Auburn and Folsom Best Buy locations.

The stolen goods totaled over $10,000. Enrique Reyes Jr, 28, from Baldwin Park, Jonathan Sanchez, 27, from Wilmington, and Brandon Sargent, 37, from Los Angeles were booked in Sacramento County Jail for Grand Theft, Conspiracy, Possession of Stolen Property and Organized Retail Theft. Reyes faces and additional charge of violation of probation. Investigators are following up and believe the group may be responsible for many more thefts all over California.”
