“In 2021, we received reports of a 23-year-old male sexually molesting a child over a period of 3 years, beginning when the girl was 7 years old.
25-year-old Melquiades Brito-Alanis was identified as a suspect, and was located and arrested in April of 2022. He confessed to the crimes and on June 12, 2023 pled guilty to Lewd and Lascivious Acts with a Child Under 14 with Force – PC 288(b)(1), and Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child – PC 288.5(a).
He will face 26 years in prison.”
