K9 Max with drug evidence collected during arrest  | Red Bluff  PD

“On May 25th, 2023, an officer with the Red Bluff Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a vehicle code infraction. Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer recognized the driver as Carlos Ascencio-Zamora. The officer knew from previous contacts with Carlos that he had a history of drug-related activity, and he was currently out of custody and on probation for drug sales.

K9 Max was deployed to conduct an open-air sniff around the vehicle. K9 Max alerted to the vehicle, so officers conducted a probable cause search. Inside the vehicle, officers located approximately 1.01 pounds of methamphetamine and 1.9 grams of fentanyl.
Carlos Ascencio-Zamora was placed under arrest and booked into the Tehama County Jail for transportation of a controlled substance for sale, possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of narcotics, and violation of probation terms.
Great job officer Lampron and K9 Max for getting these drugs off the streets of Red Bluff.”
