In the early hours of this morning, the authorities observed a silver Nissan traveling at double the speed limit on Cypress Ave. The vehicle was stopped, and officers conducted a DUI investigation that resulted in the driver’s arrest. During the investigation, it was discovered that the driver had an open bottle of Cuervo in their vehicle.

While officers were conducting the DUI investigation, a white Honda drove past with no lights on. The authorities stopped the vehicle and observed signs of impaired driving. After conducting a DUI investigation, the driver of the Honda was also arrested.

The authorities are reminding the public that driving while impaired is dangerous and can be deadly. According to the California Office of Traffic Safety, in 2020, 1,159 people died from DUI-related collisions in California alone.

It is crucial to designate a sober driver or use alternative means of transportation if you plan to drink. The consequences of driving while impaired can be severe, not only for the driver but for others on the road as well.
